Geography is a very important subject for kids to grasp. Make learning fun with the ideas presented here, especially for upper elementary kids.

Children learn best through play. Thankfully, today there are many wonderful resources that help children to learn geography skills, through structured play and with interactive games. So how do you find great geography games that will capture your child’s attention, and keep it focused, while their learning all about the geographical locations of such countries as Sweden and Sri Lanka?

Below you will find some excellent resources for on-line, computer software, and good old-fashioned board and card games with a geography focus.

Geography Software

Carmen San Diego, that great detective who first attracted children to the wonderful world of geography almost 10 years ago, is still around today. Find great software games to help children learn either world geography, or United States geography, or both if you choose.
